Game Description
The land has become arid, the seas have dried up, the very air grows thin.
Your homeworld is dying.
The only hope for your people lies in knowledge gained from beyond the horizon.
In Solarcrawl, astronauts venture forth from their home in early rockets, and then increasingly sophisticated spacecraft in search of new materials, inspiration, and greater understanding of their solar system. The knowledge they gain will regreen their world, if they survive to bring it back from the void.
Key Features
Built to be compatible with a wide variety of systems, including D&D and much of the OSR. The book contains backgrounds, rules for interplanetary travel and homeworld improvements that can be easily meshed to a group's favorite rule set.
Contains at least nine planetary destinations, each a self-contained hexcrawl on a planet, moon, asteroid, comet, orbital structure or even stranger celestial object.
An entire bestiary of strange aliens, precursor machines, and other entities for the astronauts to encounter.
All lavishly illustrated in linework or hand painted watercolors.
The print version of Solarcrawl will come in at 100 page (or more, depending on stretch goals being met) hardback. A PDF will also be available.
Developer
Galen Pejeau is an illustrator and occasional designer of TTRPGs. You may have seen his drawings in games such as Slugblaster, Firelights, Stoneburner, HUNT, DUSK, Substratum Protocol, or Ironsworn: Starforged. His designs include Crash//Cart and The Facility.
Press Quotes
"For many designers, there's a constant pull to return to the hexcrawl, that most fundamental particle of tabletop gaming. I love seeing a party of doomed adventurers navigate the wilderness, explore ruins and find treasure, or die horribly in that pursuit.
With Solarcrawl, I wanted to keep all of that, but scrap gold pieces and the colonialist idea of a savage frontier. The treasure that these astronauts seek is knowledge, and even more importantly a sense of hope for the people back home, that they can make their own world better."

Dude. I have been waiting YEARS for this to come out. How different is it from the first edition that you used to have up here?
